_*SouthCoast Health is looking for a Full-Time Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant for Our Cardiology Department.*_

_*Position splits time between hospital and outpatient clinic*_

Provides medical care under the supervision of a licensed physician. Educates patients and patient families. Performs scope of work as outlined in state guidelines, laws, rules and regulations.

*QUALIFICATIONS:*
* Previous experience in nursing or other medical fields
* Ability to build rapport with patients and coworkers
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong leadership qualities

*RESPONSIBILITIES:*
* Rounds on cardiac patients in hospital
* Works in Cardiology outpatient clinic
* Supervises stress tests
* Charts on patients condition and confer with attending physicians
* Contacts Cardiology office for coordination of patient care (appointments, patient demo and clinical information, etc.)
* Peer to peer reviews

*EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:*
*NP*-Masters degree in Nursing. Successful completion of accredited nurse practitioner program in specialty. Minimum of three (3) years professional nursing experience in a clinic setting plus one year of nurse practitioner experience preferred.

*PA*- BA/BS, Masters preferred. Graduate of AMA accredited physician assistant program. Minimum of one (1) year experience as a physician assistant, preferably in clinic setting.

*REQUIREMENTS:*
Current GA NP/PA licensure. Current BLS/ACLS CPR Certification.
Certification from an accredited credentialing body.
