Job Description ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Ensure excellent guest service.
- Always present oneself as a credit to the department
- Meet attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to the departmental and company guidelines.
- Protect company assets.
- Assist other departments.
- Must be able to stand for long extended periods.
- Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds.
- Must be able to push/pull heavy carts on the casino floor.
- Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist, and grip items while working at the assigned area.
- Must have manual dexterity and coordination to operate office equipment including but not limited to 10 key-adding machines, PCs, fax machines, and photocopy machines.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
- Must be able to work in moderate to loud noise conditions.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- High School Diploma required. Any combination of education, training, or experience provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Minimum of 1-2 years related experience required.
- Ability to communicate with all levels of management in a clear, friendly, and confident manner.
- Must get along with fellow team members and work as a team.
- Must present a well-groomed appearance.
- Must be self-motivated and be able to handle more than one function at a time by being well organized.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Good mathematical and clerical aptitude for accurate record-keeping.
- Excellent customer service skills are a must.
- Ability to obtain/renew all government-required licenses or certifications, specifically a Virginia Lottery Gaming Permit License
PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
- Must have the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment.
- Must be able to stand on your feet for your entire shift.
- Fast-paced environment, multiple tasks to be handled under time constraints.
- Must be able to handle a heavy business volume, and sensitive situations relating to staff and guest problems, promptly.
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
- Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondhand smoke.
