The Legal Assistant at Ty Robinson Law Firm, LLC is responsible for supporting attorneys and paralegals in a busy legal environment. This role involves preparing legal documents, managing office correspondence, and ensuring efficient operations within the firm. The ideal candidate will thrive under pressure and contribute to a rewarding legal practice focused on personal injury law.
Responsibilities
•Process client billing properly using daily time records with help from the accounting department.
•Accept other administrative tasks as needed to assist the team and ensure the firm runs smoothly.
•Assist with the creation of various litigation documents, including pleadings, motions, subpoenas, affidavits, contracts, and briefs for case preparation, and proofread documents as needed.
•Make travel arrangements, schedule meetings and appointments for the team, such as depositions, and coordinate with outside vendors for events.
•Take care of administrative tasks and office correspondence by answering phone calls and emails, communicating with opposing attorney offices, taking dictation, and informing the team of upcoming deadlines.
•Open Claims, Request Medical Records, Initial Letter Requests, and manage File Management.
Qualifications
•Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines with quick turnaround times.
•Excellent communication skills and organizational skills are required.
•High school diploma or equivalent is required; associate's degree is a plus.
•Experience with legal software, litigation case management, and docketing programs is preferred.
•Ability to comfortably use all Microsoft Office products.
