We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with a focus on Python. The Playback Quality Optimization team plays a meaningful role in managing the media experience of customers on Disney+ and more, embedding products directly into video players to oversee media playback and make quality of experience decisions in real-time.Requirements

5+ years experience in software developmentProficiency in Rust and the respective ecosystemsTrack record of owning and delivering complex projectsProven dedication to 24/7 system reliability and availabilityExcellent communication skillsHighly organizedExperience building and integrating client code into a larger client codebaseBachelor’s degree in computer science-related field or equivalent work experienceExperience with Streaming Video Playback, including protocols like HLSDeveloped and shipped software for consumer devices, e.g., mobile phones, game consoles, smart speakers, smart TVsExperience developing in embedded or resource constrained environmentsExperience with WASM, Python, Swift, or BrightscriptResponsibilities
