Exciting Opportunity at MSK: Join our team as a Nurse Leader at our Commack location. We're looking for a dynamic nursing professional eager to showcase leadership skills and make a meaningful impact on our team and in the lives of our patients and their families. This is a freestanding outpatient facility, located in Commack, NY. This site allows us to offer the most-advanced cancer care services closer to home for patients residing in this area of Long Island.

 

Role Overview:

  •  Empower and engage the workforce while leading the delivery of exemplary Nursing Care in accordance with the mission, vision, value and goals of MSK.
  • Adhere to all regulatory standards and promote patient safety.
  • Collaborate with physician and administrative colleagues to implement all operational aspects of high quality patient care delivery, covering our Commack, L.I. Infusion Suites, Blood Draw and Quick Treat Clinic; Provide cross-coverage to the following areas: 
    • Medical, Radiation & Surgical Oncology Office Practice
    • Dermatology/Moh’s Office Practice
    • Radiology Services
    • Telephone Triage
    • Supportive Care
  • Supervise Registered Nurses, and nursing support staff, as well as management of Human Resource issues, including hiring, transfers, terminations, corrective action, on-boarding, training and development.
  • Will play a pivotal role in providing transformational leadership by building and sustaining a healthy work environment that supports and promotes excellence in patient care, clinical nursing practice and patient safety. 

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing 
  • Related nursing certification required
  • BLS for Healthcare Providers required
  • NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license and registration
  • A minimum of 5 years recent, related clinical experience; ambulatory oncology experience highly preferred
  • Proven leadership and superior communication skills essential

Additional Information:

  • Location: MSK Commack- 650 Commack Road. Smithtown, NY
  • Schedule: Day shift, Monday-Friday, with weekend rotation
  • Reporting to the Director Nursing (Ambulatory Services)

Pay Range: $146,100.00 - $241,100.00.
