Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify and respond to signs of malfunction.2. Perform preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime, including cleaning and lubricating parts, replacing worn components, and testing machinery post-maintenance to ensure optimal performance.3. Troubleshoot equipment failures and perform necessary repairs swiftly and efficiently to minimize production downtime.4. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to understand equipment and controls.5. Adhere to all safety procedures, including lockout-tagout, personal protective equipment, fall protection, and others as required.6. Use welding tools to repair or replace parts as required.7. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work conducted, including preventive maintenance tasks.8. Collaborate with other team members and communicate effectively to ensure smooth operations.9. Diagnose faults in electrical systems and perform necessary repairs or replacements.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum of 5 years' experience in a maintenance mechanic role within the manufacturing industry.2. Demonstrated skills in machinery maintenance and repair.3. Proficiency in welding and the ability to read and interpret blueprints.4. Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve issues with a variety of equipment.5. Thorough understanding of safety procedures and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.6. Experience with preventive maintenance practices and their implementation.7. Knowledge of electrical systems and ability to diagnose and repair faults.8. Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy machinery parts.9. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.10. High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical training in machinery maintenance or a related field is preferred.
