Charge RN- Med/Surg, Neuro at Piedmont Columbus Midtown summary: The Charge RN in Med/Surg, Neuro is responsible for overseeing quality nursing care across all patient demographics and managing operational issues during their shift. This role involves direct clinical care when needed, effective communication of patient concerns and departmental issues, and providing guidance to nursing staff. A minimum of one year of nursing experience in a hospital setting and a current Registered Nurse license in Georgia are required, with preference for candidates holding a bachelor's degree and advanced certification. Description: RESPONSIBLE FOR: Coordinates the delivery of quality nursing care for patients from birth through the lifecycle, as well as operational issues during his/her shift. Provides clinical care as needed when census demands. Communicates patient care, departmental issues, and staff concerns to the appropriate leader(s). Serves as resource for guidance and assistance to the staff. Qualifications: MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: Graduate of a nursing program. MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: One (1) year of nursing experience in a hospital setting required. MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW: Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License. BLS certification required. ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: Two (2) or more years of nursing experience in a hospital setting preferred. Bachelors degree preferred.
