About the Position

We are seeking a locum Family Practice Physician to provide coverage and support for our university health center in Illinois. The ideal candidate will collaborate with and supervise nurse practitioners, provide direct patient care, and be comfortable working with a diverse international student population.

Job Details:

• Primary focus: Collaboration with and supervision of two nurse practitioners
• On-site presence: One day per week (preferably Wednesdays)
• Off-site availability: Flexible hours for consultations and supervision of medical staff
• Patient care: Half-day of direct patient care once a week (preferred)

The role involves working with a diverse international student population from 134 countries, administering vaccinations and immunizations, and educating students on various health issues. Proficiency in Point and Click EMR is necessary.

Requirements:

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Family Practice
• Active Illinois medical license or ability to obtain one
• Experience working with diverse patient populations
• Ability to communicate effectively with students from various cultural backgrounds
• Flexibility to adapt to the university health center environment
