Job Summary

The RN – C/C Staff Nurse (Night) is a dedicated team member of the CHKDHS Night Shift Option Program. This position works a specific night shift between 7:00PM and 7:00AM, providing individualized nursing care to patients within a defined scope of practice.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provides developmentally appropriate psychosocial and clinical care.
• Plans, provides, and monitors patient needs following established policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Communicates and collaborates effectively with the healthcare team.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Licenses and Certifications:

Current Virginia state license as a Registered Nurse or Registered Nurse holding a valid Compact State license required.

RN certification preferred.

Requirements:

• Must have an Associate's in Nursing/Diploma in Nursing with applicable experience. BSN is preferred.
• Pediatric experience preferred.
• Ability to work a dedicated night shift between 7:00PM and 7:00AM.
• CPR Training required and/or must be obtained within 45 days of hire.

Working Conditions:

Expected to work in a patient care environment with minimal exposure to environmental hazards.
