About Us:
Divino is a newly opened Italian restaurant located inside the Glover Park Hotel, bringing the rich culinary traditions of Northern Italy to Washington, DC. We focus on housemade pasta, wood-fired dishes, and a farm-to-table experience, featuring locally sourced ingredients and an exceptional wine program. Our space includes a dining room for 100 guests, a bar for 40, and a wine and beer garden seating 70.
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Restaurant Manager to lead our front-of-house operations and ensure an outstanding guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service and exceptional hospitality.
- Manage, train, and motivate front-of-house staff, fostering a positive team culture.
- Maintain high standards of service, cleanliness, and organization.
- Work closely with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure seamless communication.
- Monitor guest satisfaction, handle inquiries, and resolve any service issues.
- Oversee reservations, private events, and dining room flow for efficiency.
- Manage inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships for FOH supplies.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and liquor laws.
- Collaborate with ownership and marketing to drive sales and promote special events.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of restaurant management experience in a high-volume or fine dining setting.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with a hands-on management style.
- Knowledge of Italian cuisine and wine preferred.
- Experience with POS systems, scheduling software, and financial reporting.
- Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and maintain a calm demeanor under pressure.
- Passion for hospitality and delivering memorable dining experiences.
