Job Details

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our team, supporting the financial operations for multiple business entities. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, handling a variety of accounting tasks and collaborating with internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting and Financial Operations:
  • Process incoming and outgoing payments accurately and efficiently.
  • Perform detailed account reconciliations to ensure financial records are accurate and up to date.
  • Communicate with vendors, addressing any discrepancies and making necessary adjustments.

Inventory and Asset Reconciliation:
  • Reconcile inventory records and ensure alignment with financial data.
  • Verify asset counts and reconcile any discrepancies within accounting records.

General Ledger and Reporting:
  • Assist with month-end GL closing processes.
  • Prepare and post journal entries and maintain supporting documentation.

Accounts Receivable and Tax Compliance:
  • Manage receivables, ensuring timely and accurate recording of revenue.
  • Prepare and file sales tax returns in compliance with city and state regulations.

Data Entry and Software:
  • Accurately enter financial data into accounting systems.
  • Experience with ERP such as Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, MS Dynamics, etc., and Excel (intermediate level) for data management.

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in accounting, preferably within a multi-entity environment.
  • Strong reconciliation skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Outlook.
  • Solid understanding of GL processes and sales tax filings.
  • Excellent communication skills for vendor and internal team interactions.
