Job Summary:

HCA Houston Healthcare Southeast is seeking an experienced nurse practitioner to support with an outpatient multispecialty Neuro/Ortho/Pain clinic for a part time position.

Qualified Candidates:
  • Develop protocols and plans of treatment under physician supervision
  • Must be people-oriented and willing to learn
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills to work with a diverse patient population
  • Expected to work with various patient demographics & medical staff averaging 15-20 consults a week
  • Certified APP with prescriptive authority required
  • Must be eligible for licensure in the state of Texas
  • 3 plus years experience is preferred and work experience with patients in an outpatient setting
  • Comfortable seeing orthopedic related conditions along with, back & neck pain.
  • The APPs role is to see the patient, order the necessary diagnostics, prescribe medications, refer to specialists for surgery or for pain management.
  • Also, another primary role includes being able to perform knee and shoulder joint injections
  • The ability to partner with multi-specialty providers in the community to educate on clinic capabilities for patients
