'...Registered Nurse provides care to patients by administering fluids, chemotherapy, medications or blood products through injections, peripheral IV lines or central venous catheters. The RN is responsible for monitoring patients, maintaining their IV access, and recognizing potential drug interaction and complications.
Administers the appropriate treatments to patients. Demonstrates the ability and the appropriate technical skills with administering treatments and procedures in accordance with physician’s orders, policy and procedure.
All care, treatment and services provided are within current Federal, State, Local Standards, Rules, Regulations and Guidelines to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.
Transcribes, utilizes and implements standing orders, protocols and physician orders.
