Accounting Manager Job Description

The Accounting Manager plays a key role in the execution of month end close, overseeing various accounting functions, and ensuring the accuracy of results reported.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, as well as work with several account reconciliations.
• Drive the month end close process to ensure accurate data and present results to management along with any specific variances.
• Analyze current policies and procedures, providing recommendations for continued process efficiencies.
• Collaborate with the Cash and Treasury function to ensure accurate bank reconciliations, cash flow analysis, and relationships with banks.
• Maintain current Internal Controls and provide recommendations when opportunities arise.
• Serve as the point person for sharing financial results with non-finance functional areas, responding to questions, etc.
• Work with the FP&A group to assist with budgeting and forecasting, analysis, and ad hoc requests.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA highly preferred.
• Candidates with a public accounting background are encouraged to apply.
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience; supervisory or oversight experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting software.
• Experience working with a large ERP system and advanced Excel skills required.
