**Become a Part of Our Compassionate Team!** We are excited to welcome skilled and dedicated Telemetry Travel Registered Nurses (RNs) to become an integral part of our committed team at Gallup Indian Medical Center in the heart of beautiful Gallup, NM. This Long-Term Contract Travel RN position at our IHS facility offers you a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of others.


**What We Offer:**

- A long-term contract lasting from 13 weeks to a year, with flexible options for extensions

- 12-hour shifts (Day shift and Night shift available)

- 36/48 hours per week, 7 on 7 off

- Level III Trauma center to enhance your professional journey

- The flexibility to work with any US nursing license, promoting inclusivity

- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS to support your growth

- At least 2 years of experience as a Telemetry Travel RN

- A Registered Nurse (RN) with an ADN or BSN preferred, as we value education

- Travel experience is a bonus, enriching your nursing practice

- Previous IHS experience is beneficial, but not mandatory


**Your Role:**

As a Telemetry Travel Nurse at GIMC, you will be pivotal in promoting patient safety and comfort. Your work in monitoring and managing patients' cardiac health will be crucial for the well-being of our patients and the healthcare team. At Gallup Indian Medical Center (GIMC), a welcoming 99-bed hospital located on the Navajo Reservation, you will find a diverse array of clinical specialties at work, We serve one of the highest patient volumes in the Indian Health Service, with approximately 250,000 outpatient visits and 5,800 inpatient admissions each year.


**Your Responsibilities Include:**

- Developing and implementing thoughtful telemetry monitoring protocols

- Conducting detailed assessments and reviewing telemetry data with care

- Educating and empowering staff and patients with knowledge about cardiac health

- Collaborating lovingly with healthcare teams to address telemetry-related concerns

- Monitoring patient heart rhythms and responding swiftly to changes

- Guiding best practices for patient care with compassion

- Supporting the facility in adhering to regulatory standards for the safety of all

- Conducting telemetry quality assurance audits to maintain a healthy environment

You'll also have opportunities to engage in quality improvement initiatives, where your insights can help shape our practices and improve care.

Requirements:

Registered Nurse (RN) –

  • Minimum of (2) two years experience required
  • Nursing experience in an Acute Care Setting required
  • Graduated from a National League of Nursing Accredited Nursing Program
  • Bachelor's degree, Associate degree, or Diploma from an accredited professional nursing education program is required.
  • Active BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) required
  • Applicant must have active and unrestricted, current licensure as a Professional Registered Nurse (RN) in any State, District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a Territory of the United States
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts and schedules
  • Must be a US citizen
  • Must be willing to pass a federal background check
