RN ICU Job Description

Mercy Hospital Ardmore is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Intensive Care Unit.

About the Role:

The RN ICU team provides critical care to patients with severe illnesses, such as respiratory failure, pneumonia, and CHF exacerbation. We offer specialized dialysis treatment called SLED and provide 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio for critically ill patients on pressors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Care for ventilated patients and assist physicians with procedures such as Central Line placement, Arterial Line placement, and bedside Bronchoscopy.
• Participate in Code Blue and Rapid Response Team efforts.
• Develop strong relationships with patients and their families, providing compassionate and excellent patient care.

Requirements:

• Graduate from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Hold a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure.
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
