Overview:
We use the nursing process to provide patient care, maintain professional accountability for provision of patient care, evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers, and coordinate patient care with other departments. We also maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
Requirements:
- Education: A degree from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
- Licensure: A current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
- Prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
