Registered Nurse (RN) - Ortho - Short Term Agreement - $50 - Nights at Norman Regional Health System summary:

A Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in orthopedic care, responsible for assessing patient needs, planning and implementing nursing care strategies, and collaborating with healthcare professionals. This position requires a current Oklahoma RN license and involves providing direct and indirect patient care over a 13-week assignment with night shifts. The role emphasizes the importance of safe delegation, evaluation of care interventions, and ongoing professional development.

Overview:

Compensation

  • $50 flat rate
  • 13 week assignment
  • 3 12hr shift/week
  • Hours not guaranteed
  • No benefits
Responsibilities:

RN essential functions include, but are not limited to:

  • collaboration with other health professionals, assessment, analyzing assessment data.
  • Establishing goals, planning care strategy, establishing priorities of care, implementing care.
  • Delegating tasks safely, providing safe direct and indirect nursing care, evaluating responses to interventions.
  • Performing additional nursing functions in accordance with knowledge and skills acquired beyond basic nursing preparation.
Qualifications:

Education

  • Diploma or Associate’s degree (ADN) required, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), or Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.

Experience

  • Previous experience in healthcare field preferred.

Licensure/Certification

  • Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse license.  Basic Life Support (BLS) training or retraining is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.  
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment

Other Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • New grads are required to complete Norman Regional's Nurse Residency Program.
