FinOps Platform Engineer

As a FinOps platform engineer, you’ll be a member of the FinOps team responsible for enabling and integrating cloud cost management across various cloud platforms and 3rd party tools to create an integrated view of total cost.

In this role, you’ll directly impact the homeland security mission by translating business needs, processes, and procedures into a workable financial management construct. You Have:

8+ years of experience with IT in a professional environment

5+ years of experience as a cloud platform engineer

2+ years of experience in cloud economics and financial analysis

Experience with cloud cost optimization tools and techniques

Experience in with tagging guidelines to ensure appropriate categorization of cloud shared costs

Experience in assisting with identifying and implementing cloud governance policies and cost savings approaches

Experience with cloud architecture

Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements

Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

Experience in developing cost allocation models for shared services

Experience with cloud cost management tools, such as Harness CCM and AWS Billing and Cost Management

Possession of excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Possession of excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills

Cloud FinOps Certification

Cloud Architecture Certification

Vetting:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $110,100.00 to $250,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
