Job Description:

As a Construction Litigation Paralegal , you will provide essential support to attorneys in the preparation and management of construction-related litigation cases. You will play a critical role in assisting with case management, document preparation, discovery, depositions, and trial preparation. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in construction law, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist attorneys in all phases of construction litigation, including pre-litigation, discovery, depositions, motions, hearings, and trial.
• Draft, review, and organize litigation documents such as complaints, discovery requests and responses, motions, and settlement agreements.
• Prepare and manage case files, ensuring all documents are up to date and properly organized.
• Conduct legal research related to construction law and litigation issues.
• Coordinate discovery, including managing document production, reviewing and organizing evidence, and preparing privilege logs.
• Coordinate depositions, hearings, and trials, including preparing exhibits and other supporting materials.
• Communicate and collaborate with clients, experts, opposing counsel, and other parties.
• Manage case deadlines and track important milestones.
• Assist with settlement negotiations and preparation of settlement documents.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a paralegal in construction litigation.
• Strong knowledge of construction law and litigation processes.
• Experience in managing case files and preparing for trials, hearings, and depositions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software (experience with case management systems is a plus).
• Ability to perform legal research and summarize findings.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Paralegal certification preferred but not required.

Compensation:

Salary range: $80,000 - $85,000 per year, commensurate with experience. Benefits package includes health insurance, paid time off, and retirement options.
