Legal Assistant/Paralegal to join our client's dynamic team.
Salary/Hourly Rate: $35/hr
Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced Legal Assistant/Paralegal with a strong background in supporting multiple attorneys and proficiency in e-filing in Pennsylvania (PA) and New Jersey (NJ). The ideal candidate for the Legal Assistant/Paralegal role will have a minimum of 3 - 4 years of experience working in a mid-to-large-sized law firm and be well-versed in handling tasks related to employment labor, insurance defense, and personal injury cases.
Responsibilities of the Legal Assistant/Paralegal: - Provide administrative support to a minimum of 3 attorneys, with a preference for experience supporting 4 attorneys.
- Prepare, draft, and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery materials.
- Manage case files and ensure all documents are organized and up-to-date.
- Perform e-filing in PA and NJ courts.
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant case information.
- Schedule and coordinate appointments, meetings, and depositions.
- Assist in trial preparation and provide support during trials.
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel in a professional manner.
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
Required Experience/Skills for the Legal Assistant/Paralegal: - Minimum of 3 - 4 years of experience as a Legal Assistant/Paralegal in a law firm environment.
- Prior experience in a mid-to-large-sized law firm is highly desirable.
- Experience in employment labor, insurance defense, and personal injury is preferred, but we are open to candidates with diverse legal backgrounds.
- Proficiency in e-filing in PA and NJ is required.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research software.
Education Requirements: - Paralegal certification or a relevant degree is a plus.
