Well-established and highly regarded law firm specializing in personal injury, motor vehicle accidents, medical malpractice cases and more is seeking an experienced Pre-Litigation Paralegal to join their team. The Pre-Litigation Paralegal will play a critical role in supporting the legal team in managing cases before litigation, working closely with the attorneys and other paralegals to provide essential assistance in preparing cases for potential litigation, ensuring that clients' interests are well-represented throughout the pre-litigation process.
This is a full-time onsite position at the firms Miami, FL office. The firm offers a supportive and collaborative work environment and the opportunity for professional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough intake interviews with clients to gather pertinent case information.
- Manage client communication, providing updates on case status and addressing inquiries with professionalism and empathy.
- Draft demand letters, settlement packages, and other pre-litigation correspondence under attorney supervision.
- Coordinate with medical providers to obtain relevant records, bills, and treatment documentation.
- Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all documents are accurately filed and readily accessible.
- Assist attorneys in case evaluations, including reviewing medical records and assessing liability.
- Facilitate settlement negotiations and prepare cases for potential litigation if necessary.
Qualifications: - A Bachelor's degree in Legal Studies, Paralegal Studies, or related field is preferred
- Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience working as a pre-litigation paralegal, preferably in a personal injury law firm
- Must have strong understanding of personal injury law, including knowledge of insurance claims processes and medical terminology
- Must have proficiency in legal case management software and Microsoft Office suite
- Must have exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients, medical providers, and other parties involved in the case
