WasteConnections is looking for asafetyconsciousCDL B Route Driver to join our GROWING team in Baynard/Grant County, New Mexico.

This will require a commute in and around the Silver City area.

Company vehicle and gas compensation included if commuting from Las Cruces.

Details:

Schedule M-F 6AM (50-55 HOURS PER WEEK)

Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour DOE

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Ability to safely operate a garbage truck on specified routes to collect solidwaste.Wasteexperience preferred, but not required.
*Ability to read route sheets and service each customer identified on the sheet or assigned by the dispatcher.
*Perform routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles such as checking fluids,safetyequipment, and tires.
*Ability to perform a physically demanding job, loading and unloading, at times with no helpers.

WORKING CONDITIONS ANDPHYSICALEFFORT:
*Extensivephysicalactivity. Requires strenuousphysicalwork;heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds.
*Work environment involves some exposure tophysicalrisks such as movingmechanicalparts. Which require followingbasicsafetyprecautions.
*The employee is exposed to outside weather, including frequent wet and/or humid conditions, as well as exposure to fumes and vibration. Noise level is usually moderate.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

*Must be 21 years of age or older with a satisfactory driving record.

*Valid Class BCDLwithair brakesendorsement as a minimum.
*Ability to read, write, comprehend and communicate in English.
*Basicknowledge of truck components in order to complete pre- and post-trip inspections.
*Ability to work Monday - Friday. Approximately 55-60 hours a week with paid overtime.
