Title: Maintenance Associate, Full-time (40 hrs./wk.)
Reports to: Maintenance Director and/or Pastor

Overview
The maintenance position at St. John the Evangelist Church is taking care of the buildings and grounds. We ask that you take a prideful approach to maintain the building and grounds.
Job Responsibilities

• Perform routine building maintenance
• Perform minor painting, carpentry and electrical work (not requiring a licensed electrician, such as replacing light bulbs)
• Ensure that safety (including fire safety) and security policies are followed on the grounds and facilities
• Set-up and break-down for special events, per set-up requests
• Provide exceptional customer service to all ministries, event clients, parishioners, and guests
• Maintain assigned vehicle, tools and equipment to ensure their safe, operating condition
• Report any deficiencies in regular maintenance or contractor performance to the Facilities Manager
• Liaise with contractors such as cleaning, landscaping, and air conditioning, as needed
• Work with Facilities Manager on plans and programs for improvements within the department
• Respond to work-related phone calls and emails in a timely and professional manner

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have basic maintenance skills.
• Valid Florida Drivers License, CDL preferred.
• Must be flexible with work schedule and duties, to include Saturday & Sunday shifts; occasional nights for events.
• Able to work indoors as well as outdoors.
• Lift and carry at least 50 pounds on a regular basis, throughout the day.
• Ability to stand, stoop, bend, kneel, and twist continuously throughout shift.
• Ability to climb a ladder or work in assorted lift in a safe manner.
• Ability to walk, stretch, crawl and work in small spaces on a regular basis, throughout the entire workday.
• Must pass level II background check.
• Must pass a post offer physical exam.
