We are currently recruiting for a Refrigeration Maintenance Technician.
Job Description As Refrigeration Maintenance, you will have the opportunity to work cross-functionally across every area of our facility and influence company performance by maintaining our equipment. Refrigeration Maintenance are vital to maintaining safety through problem solving and proactive upkeep.
Responsibilities: - Provide maintenance support with moderate supervision to ensure the safe and effective operation of equipment and team.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance repairs on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic plant equipment.
- Conduct emergency mechanical or electrical repairs as needed.
- Troubleshoot issues related to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.
- Safely apply knowledge and troubleshooting skills to all assigned production equipment.
- Effectively interact with all plant personnel to accomplish plant and individual goals.
- Minimize downtime due to equipment failure.
Qualifications Education and Experience Must have minimum of 6 months of mechanic work experience or refrigeration experience in the work history section of the application or be a graduate of an industrial maintenance training program.
- PSM Experience is preferred.
- Refrigeration experience is preferred.
- Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems with an in-depth knowledge of refrigeration systems, components, and controls is preferred.
Computer Skills : Basic computer skills necessary for logging information, processing daily work orders, and completing required documentation. Ability to learn and utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Effective communication and basic math skills required.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 lbs. occasionally; ability to lift 20 lbs. frequently.
- Ability to stand on a hard surface for up to 12 hours per day.
- Ability to work in confined and tall spaces, walk, climb, utilize a ladder, operate a lift, bend, and stoop.
- Repetitive gripping, pushing, and pulling.
- Frequent overhead work.
- Temperatures inside the plant may vary from -25 degrees to over 100 degrees; outside work may also be needed.
- Basic math skills, including percentages, fractions, and measurements.
- Willing and able to work overtime and weekends.
- Willing and able to furnish your own tools.
- Read and understand blueprints, manuals and work orders.
Additional Information Work schedule would be from 1:00 PM to 10:30 PM on a rotating schedule. With every other weekend off and one day off the following weekday.
Salary Range: $27.00-$43.00 per hour
