State Farm In-House Insurance Staff Counsel is seeking a Legal Administrative Support team member to join the Claims Litigation Counsel Team. The selected candidate(s) will be housed at Mimi Smith & Associates, insurance staff counsel for State Farm Insurance Companies. While every day can provide different experiences and opportunities, responsibilities may include, but are not limited to new file setup, closing files, filing litigation materials, communication with internal and external parties. Responsibilities are performed entirely on the computer and phone, utilizing various software and digital tools to manage tasks, communicate, and support business operations efficiency as part of the Shared Services Team. The position is classified as a hybrid role, meaning the selected individual will primarily work in the office with the opportunity for some remote work. Work arrangements could change over time based on business needs.
Hours for the position are Monday – Friday from 8:00 AM – 4:15 PM.
Location: 390 N Orange Ave, Ste 1700, Orlando, FL 32801
Incumbency period:
This position will have a 12-month incumbency period beginning on the effective date of the position, which must be met before the employee can post for any other lateral State Farm position. Posting for promotional positions are not subject to this incumbency period. The incumbency period does not affect the at-will relationship between State Farm and the employee and does not create an employment.

Qualifications
Previous Experience requiredLegal administrative experience is preferred, but not required
Familiarity with court structures, vendors, and other legal resources is preferred, but not required
Key Skills requiredStrong organizational skills, prioritizing, decision making, multitasking, time management, and initiative
Strong written and oral communication skills, and attention to detail
Accurate, efficient, and comfortable working in an electronic environment
Strong ability to anticipate deadlines to ensure completion of time sensitive tasks
Technology/software experience requiredWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe and e-filing is highly desired
Working knowledge of a Case Management system
Working Knowledge of a Document Storage system
