• 3 - 4 weekdays (Monday - Friday) 8am - 4pm/9am-5pm/ or 10am - 6pm & every other weekend 7am - 3pm
• Weekend Shifts will be CNA Assignments

• The role of the Transport Aide/Certified Nursing Assistant is to accompany residents on out-trips/appointments as directed, via wheelchair, geriatric chair, etc.
• When not accompanying residents to appointments accept CNA assignments or assist on the units.
• Accompany residents to outside clinic appointments via Ambulette service which may be scheduled on weekends and holidays.
• Transport residents to areas throughout the building as needed.
• Accompany Recreation staff in company van during outings.
• The Transport Aide/CNA will also assist doing with monitoring diversional programs on the units/great rooms.
• Assist in the transport of residents to therapy, Beauty Shop, dining rooms, recreation programs and clinics
• Deliver supplies to the Nursing Units when needed
• Perform all duties as a Certified Nursing Assistant when required
• Monitor great rooms for safety and fall prevention

Requirements:

• Holds CNA Certification in New York State that is current & in good standing
• Genuinely interested in helping ill, injured, disabled, elderly, & sometimes challenging residents
• Excellent communication, customer service, & organization skills
• Must demonstrate a sense of responsibility
• Must have the ability to anticipate needs of the geriatric resident
• Must be pleasant, cheerful, tactful and courteous when handling residents and/or relatives.
• Must be able to remain calm in emergencies
• Must represent the facility in a positive fashion at all times.
• Must have an exemplary time and attendance record.
• Trusted to work independently & in a team environment
• Able to work well under pressure, flexible, & will work harmoniously with all staff
• Covid-19 vaccinations are encouraged but NOT MANDATED ; we continue to offer COVID-19 vaccination based on eligibility guidance from CDC
