Respiratory Therapist-$10k Sign On Bonus at Emerson Hospital summary:

A Respiratory Therapist provides diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care services to patients of all ages under the supervision of the Director of Cardio/Pulmonary/Neurology/Sleep Disorders. This role requires a graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program, state licensure, and relevant certifications. Ideal candidates possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to handle confidential information effectively.

Job Summary
Reporting to the Director of Cardio/Pulmonary/Neurology/Sleep Disorders, provides a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care services, for in patient and out patients of all ages.

Minimum Qualifications
Education
High school graduate or equivalent required.
Graduate of a Respiratory Therapy (RT) program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) required.

Experience
Previous RT experience strongly preferred.
Previous patient care experience preferred.
Appropriate clinical rotations during the RT program are considered as satisfactory experience.

Licensure and/or Certification
Must have current licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Respiratory Therapist.
RRT from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) required.
BLS healthcare provider required.
NPR certification required within 6 months of hire.

Skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to make patients comfortable during procedures.
Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
Computer skills required.
Ability to maintain confidential information.
