The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.





Position Summary


The Program Manager will lead the day-to-day management and oversee various research studies and operation activities within the PI's lab and the Center for Advancing Research execution, staff training, setting up Standard Operating Manuals, assisting in grant writing, preparation of publications, generating research progress reports, and participating in scientific projects including data analyses.




Responsibilities



  • Design and implement systems for standardized data analyses, results presentation, manuscript writing, and paper revision

  • Conduct and contribute to statistical analyses when needed

  • Manage data sharing and workload distribution within the lab and the Center

  • Plan and draft grant proposal and work with pre-award administrators to submit the grant

  • Draft progress report for NIH and foundations to ensure grant renewal

  • Prepare and submit IRB protocols for approvals of research studies

  • Work with grad students, postdoctoral researchers, and lab staff to advance research

  • Setting up Standard Operational Manuals for lab and Center procedure

  • Standardize the paper writing format in the lab

  • Standardize and streamline figure and PowerPoint presentation formats

  • Build and maintain inventories of research-related datasets

  • Meet regularly with graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, staff, and collaborating investigators

  • Re-format and edit research manuscripts to tailor to each journal style for submission

  • Hire, orient, train research staff or new postdoctoral researchers

  • Plan, develop, implement, and coordinate research projects

  • Liaising between PIs/project teams as needed to support collaborations

  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned




Minimum Qualifications



  • Bachelor's Degree and 4-5 years of related (analytic) experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.




Preferred Qualifications



  • Master's Degree in statistics, applied mathematics, computer science, data science or other quantitative field.
