The Admissions Supervisor is responsible for the operation and cleanliness of all admission operations.
Pay Rate: $15.25 per hour
Major Duties/Specific Tasks
- Supervises operation which may include opening and closing of facility, ordering and maintaining supplies, care and use of resources, and handling cash.
- Supervises work of other seasonal employees (admissions attendants, party planner) which may include scheduling, training, motivation and control.
- Ensures proper inventory of resale merchandise.
- Assists with inventory controls.
- Ensures cleanliness of entryway, lobby, restrooms, and birthday party areas (inside & out).
- Ensures NOVA Parks safety, business standards, and other standards inherent to the particular operation are being followed.
- Assists with public relations by greeting waterpark visitors, handling inquiries, and providing information and assistance, and informing patrons of rules and regulations.
- Prepare and oversee special functions.
- Prepare and maintain appropriate records.
- Perform tasks of Admissions Attendants.
- Perform manual labor and routine maintenance as directed.
- Attend and participate in staff meetings and in-service training.
- Reports unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty.
- Carries out additional duties as assigned by the Park Specialist, Pool Manager or Supervisor on Duty.
Minimum Qualification
- High school diploma and two years of progressively responsible experience as an Attendant or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Working knowledge of and experience in the customer service industry and operation of facility.
- Knowledge and experience in the operation of a retail merchandise facility.
- Working knowledge of Park Authority standards and ability to adhere to standards.
- Demonstrated supervisory skills.
- Ability to deal effectively with the public.
- Ability to be flexible in meeting a variety of demands and conditions.
- Ability to operate a cash register.
- Working knowledge of computers.
- Strength and dexterity necessary to perform all required tasks, including lifting, stooping, bending, and working in tiring and uncomfortable positions.
- Ability to perform a variety of duties including custodial tasks.
- Availability to work a variable work schedule, which may include early and late hours, and weekends and holidays.
- Possession of or ability to obtain necessary licenses or certifications.
- Required to purchase and wear standard uniform.
- Specialized duties and assignments related to a facility may require special training and/or certifications.
