Piper Companies is seeking a Research Associate to join our team.
About the Role:
The Research Associate will provide guidance to staff members on planned experiments and give technical training on new procedures. This includes creating protocols and SOPs, providing aid in laboratory operations, working with flow cytometry panel design, determining needs to develop or verify applications to support research with clients and coworkers, and controlling complex laboratory equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide technical guidance and training to staff members
- Create protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Assist with laboratory operations, including instrument operation and maintenance
- Design and optimize flow cytometry panels
- Determine requirements for developing or verifying applications to support research
- Operate and maintain complex laboratory equipment
- Serve as Study Director as needed
Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience with flow cytometry
- Experience working with pre-clinical samples
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Life Science or related field
