A leading national law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Associate Attorney to join their growing team. This attorney can work mostly remote but must be able to go into one of the firm's five California offices as needed. The firm focuses on a variety of work including commercial litigation, general liability, and local goverment matters. This is a great opportunity to join a successful team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Independently manage a litigation caseload.
- Conduct depositions.
- Prepare witnesses for deposition and trial.
- Review and analyze discovery requests.
- Prepare and respond to discovery responses and pleadings.
- Prepare court filings and service to counsel; experience with e-filing.
- Trial preparation and support.
Candidate Requirements:
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience in one or more of the following practice areas: product liability, transportation, aviation, and premises liability.
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
- Must be admitted to practice in the state of California.
- Experience with motion practice and depositions.
- Experience taking depositions.
- Capable of independent work.
Desired Skills and Experience
2+ years of litigation defense experience. Liability defense experience preferred.
Active license with the California State Bar.
