Job Description

The Area Manager manages retail operations in New York City, which currently includes 4 retail locations   (20-30 total employees) in Manhattan. This is a full time position, responsible for ongoing store operations within NYC - hiring & training FOH team, upholding and streamlining processes, liaising between stores and the central kitchen, and actively participate in day-to-day store operations when needed. Initially, you will oversee 4 NYC stores, and as we expand our NYC Market, the number of stores and employees you are responsible for will increase.

Specifically, you must have:

  • 4+ years of retail/ restaurant management experience. You don’t necessarily need to have been an Area Manager, but you do need to have managed a team of 10+ people.

  • Computer skills including Microsoft Word & Excel. Adobe programs are a plus.

Qualifications & Essential Functions

  • High School education preferred
  • Department of Health Food Handlers Card required
  • Appropriately groomed for direct engagement with clientele
  • Will be exposed to various environmental conditions such as cold due to refrigeration or heat due to hot surfaces or espresso machines
  • Exposure to cleaning chemicals
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in English
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
  • Ability to sit, stand, climb stairs, and bend would be required
