Description
Coastal Mechanical, one of the largest mechanical contractors in the Southeast, is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented individual to join our team as a Sales and Business Development Representative for our growing Commercial Mechanical Service division. As a Sales Representative, you will play a critical role in driving revenue growth by actively identifying and acquiring new clients, as well as maintaining and growing our existing customer base. Commercial plumbing/piping and mechanical knowledge are essential to your success in this role. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a market leader and contribute to the success of our organization. The targets include mainly hospitals, schools, universities, and government facilities.
Requirements
•Five or more years' experience in the commercial Mechanical Industry with knowledge of plumbing and piping systems
•Proactively identify and research potential clients and new service related business opportunities.
•Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve revenue targets.
•Develop and maintain relationships with clients and key decision makers.
•Conduct ongoing market research to understand customer needs and competitor offerings.
•Negotiate and close sales contracts with customers and communicate with stakeholders.
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
•Track and report on sales activities and opportunities in Sales Force and Bid Tracer systems.
•Monitor project teams to ensure contracts are executed as agreed
•Create and give presentations to prospective clients and internal executives
•Track and report on the status of proposal components
•Prepare and submit sales contracts
•Knowledge of Estimating Process & ability to estimate would be plus
•Send new Job Leads to our Estimating Team
•Involve Operations Manager in as many new GC/Owner introductions as much as possible
•Follow up on all bids from Estimating department
•Develop a yearly expense sheet for approval by board
•Provide weekly calendar to include, but not limited to:
•Upcoming appointments
•GC visits, Owner Visits, meetings, walk through, etc.
•Business Development events (often after-hours)
•FHEA meetings, ASHRAE, ABC, etc.
•Lunch meetings, dinners, entertainment events, etc.
•Develop and maintain spreadsheet of potential clients to be submitted weekly
List to include, at minimum:
•Facility/GC name
•Point of Contact/Title
•Contact information; phone, mobile, email, etc.
•Address/Location
•Status of Coastal with facility; registered, approved, etc.
•Current Status/Most recent activity
•Next Step
•Provide ongoing updates of upcoming projects
•Weekly Sales report to VP of BD
•Attend Sales Meetings at Corporate Office as determined by VP of BD
•Attend External training necessary to sell mechanical and Plumbing (Blueprint training, Trane HVAC course, ETC.)
•Estimate all projects with a minimum margin establish by Coastal
•Must have clean driving record & reliable transportation. Background checks performed
Essential Physical Functions:
•Driving to and from targeted customers
•Bending, Stooping, lifting up to 10lbs
•Walking around job sites and customer sites
•Occasional climbing of ladders
•Dexterity for office equipment and computers
•Climbing stairs, at times, multiple flights
•Able to ambulate through the building to interact with other departments
•Communicate and interact face to face with customers
