See eligibility for Sign-on Bonus below in the Supplemental and Contact Information section.As of January 1, 2025, the new salary range is $64,211.00 - $105,949.00.The Psychologist is involved in the development, implementation, evaluations, and monitoring of behavior treatment and training programs for individuals with significant intellectual and/or developmental disabilities who may have other handicapping conditions such as physical and/or psychiatric problems. The Psychologist will work under the supervision of a Licensed Psychologist and may also provide clinical and administrative supervision to other psychology paraprofessional staff. Job responsibilities include the following: Completion of psychological evaluations and functional assessments Participation in the interdisciplinary process Maintain knowledge of and adherence to applicable policies and regulations Prepare data analysis Monitor restrictive programs Conduct staff training Engage in direct client contacts and therapy The Psychologist may also provide clinical and administrative supervision to other psychology paraprofessional staff. Qualified candidates must document on the application that they clearly possess all of the following: Thorough knowledge of the theories and practices of the field of psychology including human behavior, learning theory, and development through the life span; Thorough knowledge of the special needs of the emotionally and socially distressed, learning disabled, handicapped and disadvantaged; Thorough knowledge of causes and effects of a typical and disruptive behavior pattern; Thorough knowledge of principles of therapeutic intervention, including behavior modification; Thorough knowledge of objective psychological, educations and developmental tests; Ability to interpret results and prepare reports from these tests; Skills in relating expressively with others. Management Preference Work experience with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities is preferred. Highly qualified applicants will also have experience addressing the psychological needs of individuals diagnosed with intellectual/developmental disabilities along with severe behavioral and emotional problems. Physical Requirements Physical effort is minimal except at times when implementing physical interventions which may be required for the safety of clients and staff, when attending Center training on these interventions, and when training staff on the implementation of these procedures which could be physically demanding.
