Description
The Department of Biology at Iona University welcomes applications for an adjunct position to teach one or more laboratory sections of General Biology I, the introductory course for potential Biology majors during Fall 2024, and/or General Biology 2 in Spring 2025. General Biology 1 has an emphasis on cell biology and basic molecular genetics with the lab focusing on the scientific method and experimentation. The successful candidate will have at least a Master's degree, PhD preferred, or a professional degree in the field of Biology or a related field and must have some experience teaching biology at the college level. These labs will be taught fully in-person, but the applicant should be familiar with online teaching tools including Blackboard.
Salary Range: $1248 - $1531 per credit based on course level and qualifications
