Since 1924, Ingersoll Place has been an essential provider of residential services for older adults and works closely with a wide range of allied healthcare providers and organizations including but not limited to:

• Alzheimer’s Association
• Community Hospice
• Ellis Hospital
• Empire State Association of Assisted Living (ESAAL)
• Physical and occupational therapists
• Primary care physicians, dentists and medical/surgical specialists
• Skilled nursing facilities and rehabilitation centers
• VA Medical Center and Outpatient Clinic

The Ingersoll Memorial Home  opened in 1924 in Schenectady’s historic Stanford Mansion and remained a residence for men-only until 1998.

In the early 2000s, planning began for a new facility to better meet the growing needs of older adults – men and women – in Schenectady and the greater Capital Region.

In 2006, ground was broken on the present-day Consaul Road property and in 2008, Ingersoll Place opened its doors.
