Overview:

The Division of Neurology at Childrens Mercy Kansas City is recruiting for a pediatric neuropsychologist. Primary responsibilities include assessment of patients referred by the division of neurology, which includes our comprehensive epilepsy surgery program. The Comprehensive Epilepsy Center offers multidisciplinary clinical support to pediatric patients with epilepsy and seizure disorders. Our program is recognized by the National Association of Epilepsy Centers as a Level IV Center, the highest obtainable level in epileptic care. Other responsibilities will include assessing patients referred from the divisions of neurosurgery, hematology/oncology, and rehabilitation medicine for a variety of conditions as well as patients referred from the division of cardiology through the cardiac neurodevelopmental program. Opportunities for developing other collaborations are also available.

The position includes teaching and supervising students in the hospitals pediatric medical residency and Association of Postdoctoral Programs in Clinical Neuropsychology member postdoctoral fellowship in neuropsychology. We encourage faculty to engage in scholarly activity, including participation in ongoing research, initiating new research endeavors, and program development. The position carries an academic appointment at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine, with rank commensurate to qualifications and experience.

Applicants must have completed two years of postdoctoral training in neuropsychology, adhering to Houston Conference Guidelines, a PhD or PsyD in clinical psychology, counseling psychology, pediatric psychology, or child clinical psychology, have experience working on multidisciplinary or interdisciplinary teams, and eligibility for licensure in Missouri and Kansas.
