The Carleton College Department of Spanish invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor or Instructor position to start September 1, 2025. We seek candidates who hold a Master's Degree or Ph.D. in a relevant field and have a strong commitment to teaching undergraduates in a liberal arts environment with a diverse student body. Candidates without a Ph.D. will be considered at the rank of instructor. Teaching responsibilities will include three courses in the Spanish language sequence during the 2025-2026 academic year, one in the Fall 2025 10-week term, and two during the Spring 2026 term.

The expected starting salary range for this position is between $36,000 - $38,388. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
