The Department of Biological and Physical Sciences at Assumption University seeks to hire three to nine part-time adjunct instructors for the Fall 2025 semester. The department needs to staff sections of Concepts in Biology, Ecology, Sensory Systems, and Physiology lab. BIO 160 Concepts in Biology is the introductory biology course for science majors and is capped at 40 students. All other sections are capped at 20 students. Class meetings run from August 25 to December 12, which includes the final exam week.

• BIO370L.02 General Physiology Laboratory: T 2:00-5:00 pm
• BIO370L.03 General Physiology Laboratory: W 1:30-4:30 pm

Adjuncts are welcomed as important contributors to the department and our students. They are provided with office space, email, voicemail, support for using our learning management system (Brightspace), and other resources needed for quality teaching. Successful candidates may have the possibility of teaching additional courses in subsequent semesters.

Applicants should have a PhD in Biology or a related field. ABD graduate students with prior teaching experience will also be considered.
