English Instructor/Assistant Professor
Arts and Humanities
Lorain County community College (LCCC) is seeking applicants for a full-time tenure-track English faculty position within the Arts and Humanities division, focusing primarily on Composition and Literature. LCCC is looking for innovative student-centered faculty with significant experience teaching in technology-rich environments. The incumbent will either specialize in Composition or Literature, or have significant preparation and background in that area. The successful candidate should also have Administrative/Coordinating experience such as English Program Chair, Writing Center Administration, or Writing Program Coordinating, Coordinating Drama/Theater, or relevant experiences at the graduate level.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications: Candidates must have Master's degree in English Composition or Literature with significant coursework and teaching experience in British Literature, especially Shakespeare.
Preferred Qualifications: Additional consideration given to candidates holding a Ph.D. in English, with a focus on British Literature; experience with teaching Composition and Shakespeare to a diverse student population at the undergraduate level, especially while using learning management software to support student learning; familiarity with the mission of the community college; experience in teaching a co-requisite model or serving as departmental lead.
Applicants selected for interview will be asked to deliver a short presentation demonstrating their teaching skills and their ability to integrate technology into the learning process.
Starting salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.
