Description
The Department of Biomedical Sciences at the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine invites applications from individuals who possess interest, experience, and enthusiasm for teaching in an integrated curriculum with a team of biomedical and clinical faculty, as well as a record of innovative biomedical research. We are looking for individuals with expertise in teaching microbiology to medical students.
Candidates must be enthusiastic about teaching and possess the desire to develop skills in this area. Experience with case-based teaching in a non-lecture format is preferred.
We are seeking candidates for a Teaching-track position. Candidates for the Teaching-track would primarily have teaching and university/college/departmental services responsibilities, but could engage in research and scholarship. UNE has strengths in neuroscience, with a collaborative group of neuroscience investigators examining the neurobiology of pain across a variety of pre-clinical models, using sophisticated imaging, molecular, and behavioral analyses. Additional strengths in research include anatomy, cell signaling, metabolic diseases, immunology and infectious diseases, and medical education.

Qualifications
Candidates for a position as Assistant Professor should have a doctoral degree, and postdoctoral and teaching experience.
