Job Summary Para-Educator, Extensive Support Needs: Under supervision of the appropriate administrator and general direction of the special education teacher, assists in the instruction and care of students with extensive support needs, including self-care activities, assisting in management of student behavior, recordkeeping, instructional assistance, medical care, classroom organization, and interaction and communication with students, support staff, parents/guardians, and agencies.
Para-Educator, Mild/Moderate Needs: Under the supervision of an administrator and general direction of a classroom teacher, assists the teacher in the instruction and supervision of students with mild/moderate needs including assisting in the implementation of positive student behavior strategies, recordkeeping, providing instructional supports, supporting campus safety and security, classroom organization, and interaction and communication with students, support staff, parents/guardians, and agencies.

These positions work with students with extensive support needs and behavioral, emotional, and academic support needs. This posting is for substitutes only. Full-time positions will be posted separately as vacancies occur.
