Acts as the information resource for Medicare PPS and the MDS per state and federal guidelines.
Educates on accurate completion of the MDS; Trains all new staff that complete MDS's.
Completes MDS accurately per RAI manual.
Responsible for Federal required submissions transmitted to the IQIES ASAP National Database.
Works along side billing to ensure compliance.
Qualifications:
To excel in this role, you should possess:
MDS Certification
A current NY State RN license.
A BSN or bachelor's preferred.
Experience in the long-term care setting.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong understanding of nursing home regulations and reporting.
Ability to serve on committees and assume responsibility for special projects as assigned.
