Summary:
The Food Runner is responsible for timely delivery of quality product to the guest ensuring
that any specials needs or requests are accommodated.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Deliver food to the guest
• Ensure all dishes match the ticket including modifiers and special requests
• Check quality of plate presentation
• Communicate with servers and supervisors regarding guest requests
• Set up the line for service of each meal period
• Maintain pars throughout the shift
• Maintain cleanliness standards of work area and throughout the restaurant
• Complete opening, closing, and weekly side work duties
• Garnish dishes as necessary
• Expo as needed
• Complete additional tasks at the direction of management
• Ensure excellent service standards are met
REQUIREMENTS
o Able to stand for an 8-10 hour shift
o Able to lift glass racks of 25lbs
o Able to carry trays up to 40lbs
o Able to climb stairs and ladders
o Able to communicate clearly and concisely
o Able to read and speak English
o Able to repetitively lift and carry plates
o Able to maintain balance with a tray
o Able to reach above the head and stoop to put items on the floor or on shelves
o Able to work as part of a team for the benefit of the guest
o Able to work in a consistently fast paced, loud environment
