Our client, a non-profit organization, is seeking a temporary to permanent HR Assistant to join their team located in Washington, DC starting ASAP!
About the Job:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for basic employee inquiries related to HR matters.
- Support the recruitment process by coordinating interviews, phone screens, offer letter creation, and reference checks.
- Facilitate the onboarding process by scheduling new employee orientation, updating new hire records, and managing associated communications.
- Enter employee information into the HRIS, maintain compliance with record keepings, and audit HR files periodically.
- Assist with payroll, tracking timesheets, and reconciling monthly benefits statements.
About You:
- 2+ years of HR and administrative experience are required.
- A bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS.
- Strong confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
- Able to work independently with meticulous attention to detail.
About the Position:
- $24/hr-$27/hr, while temporary.
- $55k-$63k, when permanent.
- Competitive benefits once permanent!
- Hybrid schedule with 3 days/week onsite.
- Office is metro accessible in Washington, DC!
