Blazer Jobs is currently seeking an experienced Special Education Teacher to join a school district in Beaufort, SC for the 2025-2026 school year. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to work with students in a supportive school-based environment, providing specialized instruction to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs.
- Provide direct, specialized instruction in both individual and group settings to support students' academic, social, and behavioral development.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and other specialists to ensure the success of students.
- Assess student progress and modify instruction as necessary to meet each student's IEP goals.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance, behavior, and progress.
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and personal growth for students with disabilities.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations regarding special education services.
Qualifications:
- Valid state certification in Special Education (South Carolina).
- Experience working with special education students and their families is highly preferred.
- Ability to create and implement IEPs and modify curricula as needed.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
