Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ED - Emergency Department Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Number of Beds - 4 in Annex (a secure locked psychiatric area holding for placement) 25 procedure rooms (rooms with curtains or doors) 8 hallway beds (utilized 24/7)· Number of Staff – 88 (combined job titles) Patient Ratios – 4:1 (flexibility in times of acute surge)· Type of equipment - U/S IV skills, Lucas Device, Hotline Rapid Infuser, Alaris pumps, Pyxis · EMR – Sunrise/ Allscripts · Patient Population - Multiple comorbidities, NEHI (New England Heart Institute) patients- complicated heart conditions, DKA, Sepsis, Trauma, Stroke Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. · At least 2 years ED experience for contract labor · BLS/ACLS/PALS/MOAB/TNCC for contract labor · Adaptability · Strong communication skills with patients and peers · Strong assessment skills · Dependability and punctuality · Strong critical thinking skills · Strong understanding of medical terminology (department coordinators) Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first. · At least one year ED experience for HCA hired staff · BLS/ACLS/PALS/MOAB/TNCC for HCA hired staff · Strong understanding of EKG interpretation List typical procedures performed on unit(s): · Trauma · Stroke Care · Laceration repair · Orthopedic trauma · U/S IV insertion · IO insertion · Eye exam · EKG · Psychiatric care · Cardiopulmonary care United Staffing Solutions Job ID #901211.
