Overview:

Dental Hygienist

Part-Time; FTE 0.7 (35 hours/week)

Monday-Friday; 8:00am-4:30pm

Muscatine, IA

Provide oral health instruction, dental screenings, fluoride, sealants, SDF application, prophylaxis, and follow-up care coordination for grant funded programs at Trinity Muscatine Public Health.

Responsibilities:
Provides dental screenings, fluoride varnish applications, and/or sealants as gap-filling services.
Provides SDF application in urgent care gap-filling situations.
Provides dental prophylaxis in gap-filling situations.
Provides follow-up care coordination for oral health, as needed.
Performs other related clinical duties as assigned.
Adheres to dental hygiene practice standards as described by the Iowa Board of Dental Examiners.
Qualifications:

Education:

Graduate from an accredited Dental Hygiene School and current professional Dental Hygiene Iowa license.

Experience:

Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Registered Dental Hygienist.

License(s)/Certiciation(s):

Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
