TITLE: Audiologist JOB OVERVIEW: Examine individuals to identify those with symptoms of hearing loss and other auditory, balance, and related sensory and neural problems. Treat identified hearing loss and auditory processing disorders through amplification and/or therapy. Works with other health and education providers as part of a team. ROLE: See criteria for Clinic Partner for generic job duties. AREA OF ASSIGNMENT: ENT Clinic HOURS OF WORK: Days; Hours may vary to meet Clinic needs RESPONSIBLE TO: Clinic Manager PREREQUISITES:

  • Minimum of two years previous Audiologist experience preferred.

  • Current Washington State Audiologist license required.

  • Doctoral Au.D degree required.

  • Familiarity with fitting software preferred.

  • GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, to include assessments, problem solving and efficient decision making.

  • Demonstrates effective interpersonal skills with a diverse population to include patients, medical staff, and front office staff.

  • Participation in professional organizations and demonstration of continuing interest in education and professional growth.

  • Conduct hearing aid selection, fitting and maintenance.

  • Provide hearing rehabilitation, education and counseling.

  • Uses audiometers, computers, and other testing devices to evaluate and diagnose hearing disorders.

  • Provides counseling for adjusting to hearing loss and training on the use of hearing instruments.
